No server upload
Files go directly from browser to browser via WebRTC data channel. They never pass through our servers and are not stored anywhere.
File transfer
File2Share transfers files directly between two browsers using WebRTC P2P — your files never touch a server. Works between iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows without installing anything.

iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows all work through a modern browser. No app installation required on any device.

Drop or select files to send — the recipient downloads them directly.
No. File2Share uses WebRTC which works across different networks. You can send files from a WiFi connection to a mobile 4G/5G connection on a different network.
There is no fixed limit. File2Share streams the file in chunks so memory usage stays low. Performance depends on your network speed and the browser memory available on the receiving device.
AirDrop works only between Apple devices on the same network. File2Share works between any combination of iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows across any network using just a browser.
Yes. WebRTC automatically encrypts all data in transit using DTLS-SRTP, the same encryption standard used by video calls. The file content is protected end-to-end between the two browsers.
If a disconnect happens, File2Share shows a reconnect option. Re-entering the same room code resumes the session. For file re-sending, simply drop the file again once both sides are reconnected.
Most file-sharing methods require installing an app, signing up for an account, or uploading your files to a cloud server. File2Share avoids all of that. Two browsers, one code, direct transfer. The recipient sees the file list before accepting, so no surprise downloads. Works between iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows — the combination AirDrop, Bluetooth, and USB all struggle with.
